Birthday

Happy Birthday to me.
It always feels good once having set a goal to achieve it.
And the scrumptious dinner, delicious Tuscan chianti and pale pink roses weren't bad either. The thoughtful birthday offerings of a loving husband.
Greeting cards from family on the sideboard.
Left over birthday cake.
And thank you, Next Chapter Books.
Like I said, Happy Birthday to me...

  1. Well, well, well, Terri. You sound as if you had a very, very special birthday!

I've read your book and as a bloke who reads non-ficton I was surprised to see how much I enjoyed it. So much so that I'll be really cranky if you don't bring out a second book.............you just can't leave your readers hanging like that!!!

Anyways, I thought I'd check out your website and blog and I'm glad I did 'cause I enjoy your writing and your adventures. Keep it up!

P.S. Can you tell me whether Jennifer's character is based on a real person? If so, can you introduce me to her? She sounds like a real spunk!

  2. ................And just another thing Ms Terri. Have you ever thought of sending your book to a movie producer? When you write you paint a picture. I think it would make one cool movie!

  3. Good to hear from you, Freddy. Thanks for the encouragement. You are not the only reader who tells me they like Jennifer! She is a rare creature. First, because female doctors were a rare breed in 1880's; worldwide they gave their all for their cause... I think we see in Jennifer such a woman and doctor. And secondly, offset with her compassion and her desire and self-discipline to be the best doctor she can be is a just-contained spiritedness. She also has a secret. So, she is both strong and vulnerable. When Luke comes along, and they make a life-altering connection, trying to keep all this in balance takes all she's got!
Of course, Freddy... mate... you were referring to her character, weren't you?

    Thanks for reading.
